Custom Scrambler Ducati specials steals Verona show spotlight

Two special custom Scrambler Ducati creations steal the spotlight at annual Motor Bike Expo in Verona, Italy.

Two very special custom Scrambler Ducati creations made their debuts and stole the show at the recent annual Motor Bike Expo held in Verona, Italy. Christened as the e Scrambler R/T and Essenza, the latter even won he Best in Show award from Italian magazine Motociclismo.

Starting off with the Scrambler R/T, this custom was built by Parma-based builders Avil Motociclette. Based off the new Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 model that features a smaller 399cc V-twin mill, this stripped down race scrambler took just 53 days to complete, hence the racing number it dons up front.

Builders Avil are renowned for their exquisite custom renditions inspired by the 1970s era, and they’ve even taken cues from the original Scrambler Ducati of said era with the Scrambler R/T. Everything but the frame was customised, but we’re loving the exquisite white leather seat and reshaped fuel tank.

Moving along to the Essenza, this café racer was the fruit of Milan-based custom garage called South Garage. The firm already has a number of customised Scrambler Ducatis in its strong rep, with the Essenza being the very latest addition to it.

The frame and suspension remain stock but most others were modified or changed. Taking a very Steam Punk-influences approach, the bike seems to sit right while the lines flowing through the fairing plus the custom twin-pipe exhaust all look exquisite.

The LED headlamp surround is neat too while the custom red leather seat and handlebar grips adds some colour to the whole bike. Overall, it is easy to see how the Essenza café racer custom snatch away the Best In Show crown during the Verona show indeed.
