BMW F700 GS, F800 GS and F800 GS Adventure updated for 2017 with Euro 4 compliance and new ride modes.

BMW Motorrad has gotten itself in line for Euro 4 emission standard that takes effect starting January 1, 2017. With that, the firm has announced a sleuth of updated for the 2017 BMW F700 GS, F800 GS and F800 GS Adventure models.

New paint scheme options aside, much of the changes lie underneath the skin with all three middleweight dual sport bikes. Euro 4 complains means that both gas emissions and noise levels are significantly reduced, whilst the instrument bin now gains with a mandatory check engine light.

More importantly, the BMW F700 GS, F800 GS and F800 GS Adventure models have gained with selectable ride modes in their 2017 forms. A total of four modes are available – Rain, Road, Enduro and Enduro Pro. Rain and Road modes are standard across all three. However, Enduro and Enduro Pro modes are options exclusive to the F800 GS and F800 GS Adventure.

Eagle-eyed readers would’ve spotted the redesigned exhaust cans primed all three. This can be changed using a newly reworked HP sports silencer unit made by Akrapovič that’s officially offered as an optional item by BMW Motorrad.

And just in case you forgot, all three models come powered using the same a liquid-cooled 798cc parallel-twin unit. Whilst the F700 GS makes do with just 75hp and 77Nm, both the F800 GS and F800 GS Adventure offers higher outputs of 85hp and 83Nm instead.
