MV’s new Brutale 800 Dragster debuts

After much teasing and numerous spyshots online this past few weeks, Italian bikesmaker MV Agusta has finally let the cat out of the bag, debuting its new Brutale 800 Dragster model.

As previously reported, the bike is based on the Brutale, sharing the same 798cc triple-cylinder layout that makes 125hp, followed by a dry weight of 167kg. Setting it apart from the regular Brutale, the Dragster boast a restyled exterior, sporting a prominent shortened rear tail, unique footrests and heelguards, as well as redesigned headlamps and mudguard.

On board, the dragster is laced with MV’s ride-by-wire throttle system, an eight level traction control system, as well as the brand’s Motor&Vehicle Integrated Control or MVICS that grant riders with Sport, Normal, Rain, and Custom ride modes. Ride modes can be changed on the fly via the instruments and handlebar switches.

Other notable highlights in the spec sheet include Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres with a rear section measuring in at 200, followed by fully adjustable Marzocchi front suspension and Sachs adjustable rear shocks.

The Dragster is only available in two paintjob options, and will come standard equipped with ABS brakes supplied by Bosch. Check out the gallery below to see more pictures of MV’s latest creation.
