Young riders of the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup moto3 series will continue to benefit with the expert aid of specialist communications consultants Accenture for another year.

Sports management firm Dorna, which organises and runs the Asia Talent Cup series, recently inked an agreement with title sponsor Shell and Accenture to extend the CHAMPS (Creating Higher Ambitions, Mentoring Program Success) intiative for a second year.

The CHAMPS initiative sees Accenture volunteers providing the series’ riders with one-on-one mentoring in interview techniques, writing skills and professional development. The aim of the CHAMPS program is to help the young racers in this series in building essential communication and interpersonal skills that will augment their careers.

CHAMPS is a comprehensive eight-month curriculum that sees Asia Talent Cup racers access to Accenture’s Learning Exchange, which boasts over 50 courses that range from career and professional development to technology and financial literacy too.

Each of these online class lasts around 15 minutes long. They are conducted in English and can be accessed from a variety of devices and taken as many times as a participant likes, in any order. Furthermore, the participants will also receive one-on-one mentoring from Accenture volunteers based in Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Alberto Puig, Director of Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup, states:

“We are pleased to work with Accenture because English is very important for the world of racing. These guys will grow, and they will travel around and they have to understand that there are many important things in this life and the English will be very useful”.
