Ahead of the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2018 (KLIMS 2018) where we’re informed that Boon Siew Honda (BSH) will be launching three new exciting models, they’ve decided to serve their appetiser before the big show with the introduction of the all-new Honda Wave 125i.
The latest revival into their line-up of premium cubs has always been a favourite among Malaysians looking for a bike that’s both affordable and super utilitarian in nature. Heading towards 2019, the Honda Wave 125i comes ready with a host of updated features to fit with the times.
A fresh new exterior design now features a bolder facade thanks to the additions of full body stripe and dual tone body colour. This elegant move is paired with modern features such as LED headlight that bumps up the Honda Wave 125i overall safety element by providing a greater visibility as well as having a longer lifespan.

The market for a prime cub model has been progressing as consumers continue to seek a motorcycle which enables them to conduct long-distance daily commute with ease”.
Powered by a very reliable and robust 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine, the all-new Honda Wave 125i churns out around 9.2hp @ 7,500rpm and 10.2Nm of maximum torque at 5,500rpm. The improved PGM-FI fuel system delivers a responsive acceleration while burning less fuel in the process.
Other highlighted features of the all-new Honda Wave 125i are:
- New amber meter design which emphases on a cleaner information visual delivery
- 18-litre underseat storage
- 4-litre fuel tank (estimated 300km travelling range)
The all-new Wave 125i is available in two variants; single front disc brake (RM5,999) and double-disc brake (RM6,299) with three colour options to choose from which are Pearl Magellanic Black with Candy Scintillate Red, Pearl Magellanic Black with Pearl Nightfall Blue and Force Silver Metallic.
The all-new Wave 125i comes with a 2-year or 20,000km manufacturing warranty (whichever comes first) to ensure customers enjoy high-quality convenience and service.
