Marc Marquez has signed a new deal with Repsol Honda which will see him race with the squad until the end of 2020.

The four-time MotoGP world champion first came with Repsol Honda in 2013 and has only lost one championship in 2015.

This contract renewal shuts down all other gossips about Marquez moving to other teams in 2019.

Four-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez has announced that he will be staying with the Repsol Honda team until the end of 2020. The 25-year-old Spaniard signed a two-year deal with the factory Honda squad which means that he has guaranteed his seat on the factory Honda RC213V for a total of eight seasons until the end of his contract.

Coming into his sixth season now in 2018, the young and very talented Marquez moved up to MotoGP back in 2013 and impressively won four out five titles in his first five seasons racing at the premier class. He only lost once back in 2015 to Jorge Lorenzo which was the last year Lorenzo rode for the Movistar Yamaha squad before making his move to Ducati.

According to Marc Marquez himself, “I’m excited to continue to race for Honda’s factory team in the MotoGP class. I’m proud to race as a member of the Honda family, and I appreciate how Honda and the team always do their best to provide me with everything I need. I would also like to thank everyone who has given me such warm support over the years.”

“The first two official tests went well and, with my contract renewed, I can focus on racing in the new season. I will continue to enjoy racing, share my joy with everybody and do my best to reach our shared goals. Thank you!” added Marquez.
