There are a lot of things to write about the recent Ducati 2019 World Premiere bike launches and the one that really got to us (apart from the 2019 Ducati Panigale V4 R super-beast) is the 2019 Ducati Hypermotard 950. The next-generation supermoto hooligan now comes with specs that’ll really turn things up all the way to 11.

The biggest upgrade in the latest-generation Hypermotard has to be its 937cc Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder engine which is said to produce a cool 114hp at 9,000rpm and 96Nm of maximum torque at 7,250rpm. The newly-worked engine is now 1.5kg lighter and produces 4hp more than its predecessor.

Looking at its design, the 2019 Ducati Hypermotard 950 still keeps its iconic ‘Motard’ appeal that has grown into somewhat of a timeless look for this particular Italian model. The combination of minimalism, aggressiveness, and lightweight performance all resembles a machine that is capable of something that will always put a wide grin on any rider’s face.

The new Hypermotard 950 also features a number of specs to improve the rider’s overall riding ergonomics such as a wider handlebar, narrow side profile, and a new flatter seat to assist in better manoeuvrability when flicking it in and out of endless corners (and also better riding position for shorter folks thanks to the narrower seat and side profile).

The 2019 Ducati Hypermotard 950 and also the Hypermotard 950 SP now feature a brand new 4.3-inch TFT screen and a host of electronic upgrades inspired by their flagship superbike, the Ducati Panigale V4. These electronic upgrades include:

  • Bosch Cornering ABS
  • Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO with Rear Wheel Slide Control
  • Selectable Riding Modes
  • Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO
  • 6-Axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU)
  • Bidirectional quickshifter (standard on SP, available for Standard model)

The chassis has also been enhanced with a selection of upgrades which include a brand new lighter steel trellis frame, new Marzocchi fork with fully adjustable 45 mm aluminium tubes and stanchions and twin monobloc radially-mounted 4-piston Brembo M4.32 callipers operated by a radial brake master cylinder with adjustable 5-position lever.

To ensure that everything flows smoothly in all sorts of riding situations, The 2019 Ducati Hypermotard 950 comes ready with a set of 3-spoke Y-shaped aluminium rims wrapped with the latest generation Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres.

Want something more aggressive? Go for the Hypermotard 950 SP and you’ll find yourselves equipped with Ohlins fully-adjustable package, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 rubbers, Marchesini forged wheels, tapered aluminium handlebars, carbon fibre parts, plus many more premium goodies.

Overall, there’s no better machine right now that represents the ultimate hooligan machine. WE WANT ONE SO BAD. To know more, head over to https://www.ducati.com/ww/en/bikes/hypermotard/hypermotard-950.
