The BMW R nineT Scrambler emphasises on that classic yet iconic characteristics which flows throughout the bike from its legendary boxer engine to its overall exterior.

The latest R nineT Scrambler with the new fuel tank is priced at RM86,900 (basic price with GST).

BMW Motorrad Malaysia has introduced the latest variant for their exclusive BMW R nineT Scrambler with a brand new and beautiful feature; the Monolithic Metallic Matte fuel tank. Launched last year in October, the previous model came with a brushed aluminium fuel tank but with the Monolithic Metallic Matte colour scheme, it elevates the facade of the BMW R nineT Scrambler to a greater height.

Inspired by the glory days of scrambler motorcycles, the BMW R nineT Scrambler emphasises on that classic yet iconic characteristics which flows throughout the bike from its legendary boxer engine, compact fuel tank and especially its sexy rear end.

Categorised as a bike with a timeless look, the Scrambler also features a classically-designed speedometer with analogue display embedded in the instrument cluster mounted on the front end. To add just a touch of futuristic appeal, the rider can access vital information such as time and trip distance via its dual-row LCD display.

The most iconic and recognisable aspect of the R nineT Scrambler has to be its horizontally mounted 1,170cc, air/oil-cooled, twin cylinder boxer engine that’s able to produce a punchy 110hp and 116Nm of linear torque as it reaches the 6,000rpm mark. Transferring all that power down to the rear wheel is handled via a six-speed manual transmission and a final shaft drive.

To make sure that the ride is always as smooth as butter, the R nineT Scrambler’s suspension package has been upgraded with a fully adjustable front fork inspired from the their flagship superbike, the BMW S1000RR. The BMW R nineT Scrambler offers the best of both past and future worlds.

The engine mapping has been reworked as well to meet the Euro4 emission regulations together with an improved tank ventilation system thanks to a newly added carbon canister. The newly tuned engine has a fuel consumption figure of just 5.3 litres for every 100km travelled. Not bad for a 1,170cc boxer twin engine.

Looking to purchase an R nineT Scrambler of your very own? BMW Motorrad Malaysia has set the price of the Scrambler together with the new Monolithic Metallic Matte fuel tank at RM86,900 (basis price with GST).
