Video: KTM 1050 Adventure CKD launch + test-ride

KTM 1050 Adventure

Our video review of the recently introduced KTM 1050 Adventure CKD.

Meet the new and locally assembled KTM 1050 Adventure CKD sport-adventure bike. Prior to its arrival, the KTM 1050 Adventure has already become hugely popular with the tour riding crowd due to its lightweight body, punchy engine and comfortable seating. For Malaysian fans, the deal just got even sweeter after KTM Malaysia decided to assemble the bike locally, resulting in its lowered purchase price, making it much more affordable than before too.

Highlights include the KTM 1050 Adventure’s lightweight chassis, high-travel WP suspension, its multi-mode Ride-By-Wire system, not forgetting its comfortable rider ergonomics as well. For us though, we especially loved the perky and responsive 1,050cc LC8 V-twin mill, as well as the PASC slipper clutch primed in its six-speed transmission too.

Now, to have all that at the affordable basic price of RM68,888* is indeed a steal. And, despite it being assembled locally in Jitra, Kedah, we honestly found the quality of fit and finish very much akin to any of the brand’s models built in Austria.
