He is assisted by 50-year-old Haji Azman Baharuddin who is renowned in the local distance riding community for spearheading the Kembara Bumi Suci and Kembara Musafir Umrah 2016 motorcycle expeditions to Mecca.

All five riders will ride to Mecca astride the Modenas GT128 Harimau Malaya Edition sponsored by the national motorcycle brand. Modenas CEO Amiruddin stated that the GT128 model was chosen for this ride as it stood as one of the best models produced by the national brand to date.

Besides that, Amiruddin further pointed out the 130cc moped’s key features such as its TPS (Throttle Positioning Sensor) and the low-friction Molybdenum-coated pistons were designed for both fuel efficiency and endurance, making it a suitable bike to take on the daunting challenges that the riders will face.
