Suzuki turbocharged sports bike has re-emerged once again in a patent recently filed in the United States by the giant Japanese manufacturer.

The turbocharged twin-cylinder machine is an evolution of the previous Suzuki Recursion Concept bike introduced back in 2013.

The final production bike will most likely run the much friendlier production-ready XE7 turbo engine unveiled at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.

Exciting times ahead, folks. Suzuki has filed new patents for their upcoming turbocharged middleweight sports bike. According to a report made by Australian Motorcycle News, the turbocharged twin-cylinder middleweight monster’s design will most likely be based on the 2013 Suzuki Recursion Concept bike introduced back in 2013. Thailand has confirmed that they will start hosting the MotoGP race for three years beginning in 2018.

The deal was finalised between the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) and Dorna last weekend during a meeting in Italy.

The MotoGP Thai Round will run its course from 5 to 7 October 2018.

According to a report made by the Bangkok Post, the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) and Dorna has come to an agreement which will see Thailand hosting the MotoGP race for three years beginning in 2018. Both parties finally struck the deal the past weekend back in Italy. (more…)

Lambretta has pulled the covers off their latest and biggest move into the 21st century by introducing the 2017 Lambretta V-Special.

The modernised classic scooter was introduced during the Lambretta 70th Anniversary Euro Rally in Italy.

There will be three models ranging from 50cc to 200cc which will meet the Euro4 emissions regulations.

After a lot of rumours and mystery surrounding this iconic scooter manufacturer, Lambretta has finally revealed the first ever highly-anticipated modern scooter dubbed the 2017 Lambretta V-Special. BMW Motorrad Malaysia has announced their latest 2017 BMW R nineT Scrambler that now comes with a new Monolithic Metallic Matte fuel tank.

The BMW R nineT Scrambler emphasises on that classic yet iconic characteristics which flows throughout the bike from its legendary boxer engine to its overall exterior.

The latest R nineT Scrambler with the new fuel tank is priced at RM86,900 (basic price with GST).

BMW Motorrad Malaysia has introduced the latest variant for their exclusive BMW R nineT Scrambler with a brand new and beautiful feature; the Monolithic Metallic Matte fuel tank. Launched last year in October, the previous model came with a brushed aluminium fuel tank but with the Monolithic Metallic Matte colour scheme, it elevates the facade of the BMW R nineT Scrambler to a greater height. Boon Siew Honda previewed a few exciting bikes yesterday which includes the 2017 Rebel 500, CRF250 Rally and CRF250L.

The new additions were previewed together with a number of reworked models like the NSS300 scooter, CBR250R, the 500cc and 650 ranges.

The three new bikes will be available sometime in August somewhere between the RM25,000 to RM35,000 price range.

During yesterday’s media breaking of fast event held at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), Boon Siew Honda (BSH) gave the media members a sneak preview on their upcoming new models for 2017. Together with a number of face-lifted models, BSH organised a quick track session with all of the new bikes prior to the breaking of fast which includes the new 2017 Honda Rebel 500, CRF250L and CRF250 Rally. The opening RST Superbike race of Isle of Man TT 2017 saw Ian Hutchinson from Tyco BMW taking the first win of the opening race.

The win marks Hutchinson’s 15th TT win which makes him the third most successful rider of the island circuit.

Second place goes to Peter Hickman (Hickman’s Smiths Racing) who managed to snatch his first ever podium finish ahead of early race leader, Dean Harrison (Silicone Racing).

The MotoGP round in Mugello yesterday saw Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) became the first ever Italian rider to win the Italian GP on an Italian bike.

The win pushed ‘DesmoDovi’ to the second position in the world standings with 79 points behind championship leader and second place finisher, Maverick Vinales (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP).

Danilo Petrucci (OCTO Pramac Racing) hunted down the front runners and snatched the final podium spot away from hometown hero, Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP).

Ducati’s very own Andrea Dovizioso and their beloved Ducati Desmosedici GP17 created history yesterday in Mugello. Their amazing win marked the first ever Italian rider to win the Italian GP on an Italian bike. Despite battling with illness throughout the weekend, ‘DesmoDovi’ came out triumphant in front of his legendary home crowd. (more…)

Australian stunt rider Robbie Maddison has gone out and done it again with yet another ocean-surfing short film called ‘Pipe Dreams 2’.

In the video, Robbie Maddison surf across the ocean on board his highly-modified KTM 450 four-stroke machine.

He also showed his record-breaking for the longest distance travelled on water using a motorcycle at a distance of 31.8km with a top speed of 72.4km/h.

Look out, folks. The great motocross stunt rider from Down Under is out and about once again. This time, he’s going out onto the ocean again with his custom-built KTM 450 four-stroke wave-surfing beast. (more…)

The medical representatives from FIM, Mugello Circuit and MotoGP have all declared that Valentino Rossi fit race this weekend in the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley, Mugello.

The news was a big sigh of relief for Rossi’s fans after having suffered significant injuries when the Italian was involved in a major motocross incident a few days ago.

Valentino Rossi’s injuries included major trauma to the chest and stomach together with bruised liver and kidneys.

MotoGP royalty Valentino Rossi has been declared fit to race at this weekend’s Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley. The FIM medical director, Dr Giancarlo di Filippo together with the Chief Medical Officer of the Autodromo Del Mugello circuit and MotoGP Medical Director all gave the thumbs up for the Italian’s hometown hero to race in front of his home crowd this weekend. Danilo Petrucci (OCTO Pramac Racing) was given the chance to pilot the latest Desmosedici GP17 but at the same time help develop a new Ducati MotoGP engine.

No specific details were given on the new engine but Petrucci stated that the engine will be given back to the factory team once they’re done with all of the tests.

Petrucci also commented that the engine has roughly the same power as the current GP17 engine except for a few parts; most probably throttle body, exhaust, etc.

OCTO Pramac Racing MotoGP rider Danilo Petrucci is currently developing a brand new engine to be used on the Ducati Desmosedici GP17. The OCTO Pramac racing team was given the latest Ducati MotoGP machinery with the condition of assisting in developing and testing new parts before handing the information back over to the factory team. NUVIZ is finally ready to introduce the world’s first motorcycle helmet head-up display system is in its final phase before hitting the shelves ready for sale.

The HUD system uses an 8mp camera to fit 800 x 480 resolution images to the rider via its The LCOS microdisplay (Liquid Crystal on Silicon Microdisplay-based Projection Engine).

The asking price is at $699 (around RM2,997) which includes GPS, communication system together with video and image capturing capabilities.

After many attempts by various companies across the globe, the world’s first head-up display motorcycle helmet is finally ready to hit the shelves for sale. NUVIZ together with its giant financial support from Pierer Industrie AG who happens to be the parent company of KTM and Husqvarna are finally ready to put this revolutionary product into production.
