The 2018 Honda Racing line-up has been announced in the form of Ian Hutchinson and Lee Johnston.

16-time Isle of Man TT winner Hutchinson and former National Superstock 600 champion Johnston will be continuing Honda’s road racing efforts for 2018.

Both riders will have their hands full in order to tame the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2 to race in the North West 200, Isle of Man TT and Ulster GP next year.

The road racing world has woke up to quite an announcement earlier today with Honda Racing confirming that 16-time Isle of Man TT winner Ian Hutchinson and former National Superstock 600 champion Lee Johnston will be joining their road racing efforts for 2018. (more…)

The Yamaha R1DT dirt track racer is a dirt track drifter powered by the 998cc inline-four engine taken from the Yamaha YZF-R1S.

The dirt-track racer concept was built using tube-frame technology to promote a robust and fun dirt track racer at a relatively low budget.

Design by Yamaha Motor USA, eight Yamaha R1DT race cars thundered around the Perris Auto Speedway with eight racing champions from different race disciplines.

What happens when you take the powerful Yamaha YZF-R1 998cc inline-four engine with its iconic crossplane crankshaft technology and stuff it into a dirt track racing car? Dougie Lampkin is the first and only person who has successfully wheelied around the Isle of Man TT circuit.

The entire 60km-lap consisting of over 200 turns, elevation changes, traffic and unpredictable weather did not stop the 40-year-old 12-time motorcycle trials world champion.

It took him about an hour and 35 minutes to ride around the circuit on just one wheel using his custom Vertigo Ice Hell 300 trials bike.

The Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team has announced that their second rider will be 25-year-old American, Jake Gagne.

Gagne stepped in a few races in this year as wildcard entries after the tragic loss of beloved rider, Nicky Hayden.

Jake Gagne will be racing together with another new Red Bull Honda rider, Leon Camier.

After several wildcard entries for the factory Honda squad in last year’s WorldSBK season, Jake Gagne has finally got his opportunity to race full time. The 25 year old from California USA will be racing for the Red Bull Honda outfit together with double British Superbike Champion, Leon Camier. (more…)

Husqvarna Motorcycles has just launched the all-new 2018 Husqvarna FC 450 Rockstar Edition.

The launch was made in conjunction of the introduction of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing 2018 rider line-up for next season’s AMA Supercross Championship.

The all-new FC 450 features a reworked 450cc single-cylinder engine, Pankl Racing five-speed gearbox, super lightweight frame with carbon-fibre sub-frame, and many more.

During the recent Motorcycle Live 2017 show in the UK, BMW Motorrad showcased their BMW R 1200 GS by jumping it in the middle of the event hall.

Weighing in at 274kg fully loaded with fuel, the off-road rider made it look so easy in such a small space where riding a normal motorcycle would be tough.

The BMW GS Experience setup during the UK’s biggest motorcycle show was all about highlighting how capable BMW Motorrad bikes are both on and off the road.

The WorldSBK 2018 season will be updated with new rules such as allowing teams to use ‘aerodynamic components’ on their race motorcycles.

There is a catch however as any of the aerodynamic components must first be made available to the homologated motorcycle.

The world of production superbikes in 2019 will be quite interesting if WorldSBK pick up this new ruling seriously considering how a big of an advantage ‘aerofairings’ can be especially seen in MotoGP.

The FIM World Superbike Championship has been introducing a lot of revolutionary changes and updates for 2018 to make the motorsport more exciting and appealing to fans around the world. Despite some setbacks laid out for some manufacturers such as limiting engine RPMs to make the field more evenly competitive, the Superbikes commission will now allow the use of ‘aerodynamic components’ come 2018. The highly-awaited 2018 TVS Apache RR 310 has been launched yesterday which thanks to a joint-partnership between TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad.

Using the same 313cc single-cylinder engine and chassis as the 2017 BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS, the Apache RR 310 punches out 34hp and 28Nm of torque.

The 2018 TVS Apache RR 310 is priced at INR205,000 which is around RM19,975 (direct conversion)

After almost one year filled with setbacks and delays, the 2018 TVS Apache RR 310 has finally been launched yesterday in India. The joint partnership between BMW Motorrad and India’s TVS has resulted in the birth of what some say the next generation entry-level sports bike. (more…)

Suzuki has announced that their 2018 Suzuki GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R will be available in new colours for next year.

The all-new white colour scheme with blue stripes is available for both models.

Those who prefer the GSX-R1000R has another colour option which comes in a sinister black colour scheme with grey stripes.

While Suzuki’s top of the line premier superbike remains virtually unchanged for 2018, they have announced that both the 2018 Suzuki GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R will be available in brand new colour schemes for the upcoming year. (more…)

Eastern Bobber and their amazing custom bike will become the first ever Malaysian to compete in the 2018 AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building in Germany next year.

The custom bike contest organised during the Motonation event in Putrajaya last weekend saw eight entries from The Rusty Factory, Beautiful Machines and many more.

The winner was chosen by AMD Showmaster himself, Neil Blaber.

Eight custom bikes entered and one bike emerged as the winner. Out of all the amazing custom creations that entered the custom bike competition organised by Motonation during their gigantic festival in Putrajaya last weekend, it was Eastern Bobber and their amazing machine who won what we think one of Malaysia’s most interesting custom bike competitions yet.
