Boon Siew Honda plans to expand their motorcycle line-up for 2018 with around ten new models.

Two of these new models will cater to a growing demand for adventure bikes.

Apart from the recently introduced 2017 Honda CRF250L series, we can expect to see the Honda X-ADV and Africa Twin on our shores sometime next year.

Modenas will be organising the Pulsar Power Test this Saturday (23 December 2017) at the Speedway PLUS Karting Circuit in Subang Jaya.

From 10am to 6pm, those who attend will be able to test the Modenas Pulsar RS200 and NS200 in the track.

Other activities include pro riding tips from racers, time attack, free check-ups for Pulsar owners, stunt shows and many more.

The technical partnership between our very own MODENAS (National Motorcycle and Engine Company) and one of India’s biggest motorcycle manufacturers Bajaj Auto Limited gave way to the introduction of three new Modenas 2017 models. MV Agusta has finally confirmed that there will be an MV Agusta four-cylinder street bike in 2018.

The new power plant will come in the form of a 1200cc MV Agusta Brutale as it is the brand’s best-selling model.

No news on the new four-cylinder engine for the sports bike segment just yet.

After several rumours pointing towards the future of MV Agusta, the Italian premium motorcycle manufacturer has finally confirmed that they’ll be releasing a brand new four-cylinder platform for 2018. More spy shots of the 2018 KTM 1290 Super Duke GT has made their way online just recently.

The 2018 model seems to carry a lot of updates to the front end especially new headlights, fairings and windscreen.

Expect the 2018 Super Duke GT to be launched in late 2018 to bring it up to date with the rest of the KTM 1290 Super series.

The KL Bike Week 2017 was successfully organised last Friday and Saturday at TREC Kuala Lumpur.

Thousands of bikers rumbled into the event grounds to celebrate everything motorcycling with participation from businesses.

Even BMW Motorrad, Indian Motorcycles, and The Gasket Alley came to showcased their finest goods to all those who attended.

Sym is looking into entering the world of small-capacity motorcycle with the introduction of the 2018 Sym Trazer 200.

Equipped with an 183cc single-cylinder engine, the Trazer 200 is said to produce 18hp and 16Nm of torque.

Other features include spoke wheels with off-road tyres, long-travel suspension, selectable ABS, and many more.

Dorna has announced that Michelin will be the official tyre supplier for the 2019 FIM Moto-e World Cup series.

Powered by Energica electric race bikes, the world’s first ever electric motorcycle racing series will have some serious support from the official tyre supplier of MotoGP.

Considering that the electric race bikes may push well over 140hp and 200Nm of torque, it is only logical that Michelin was chosen for this monumental task.

Three-time WorldSBK world champion Troy Bayliss will be returning to racing superbikes full-time beginning of next year.

The 49 year old Australian will be racing domestically in the 2018 Australian Superbike Championship.

Together with the Desmosport Ducati team, Bayliss will be racing on board the 2017 Ducati 1299 Panigale R.

Remember Troy Bayliss, the three-time WorldSBK world champion? The 48 year old Australian has announced that he is coming out of retirement to race full time in the 2018 Australian Superbike Championship next season. (more…)

On 19 November 2017, 58 Indian Army Service Corps Display team broke the world record for most people on a single motorcycle.

The record was set at the Bangalore Yelahanka Air Base where they used a slightly modified 500cc Royal Enfield motorcycle.

Known as “The Tornadoes”, the men broke their old world record which was set at 56 men.

Most motorcycles are only built to accommodate to lovely bike enthusiasts. Sometimes it’s just one for those who enjoy the solo ride and some more with the assistance of a side car or even a wacky stretched out custom machine. Italian electric bike manufacturer Energica has been selected as the sole engine supplier for the 2019 Moto-e World Cup.

After countless discussions, the Energica Ego has been chosen as the base race bike that produces around 140hp and 195Nm of maximum torque.

The new racing series is said to further innovate the world of motorcycle racing with state-of-the-art superbikes with none of the emissions.

After a long and tedious discussion between Dorna, FIM and other involved parties, the 2019 FIM Moto-e World Cup series has received its green lights. Italian electric bike manufacturer Energica has been chosen as the main (and only) engine supplier for the upcoming historic moment in motorcycle circuit racing. (more…)

Boon Siew Honda (BSH) celebrates 60 successful years with the production milestone of five million units at their Penang production plant.

What started life back in 1957 with only 50 Honda cubs grew exponentially with their first millionth unit produced in 1986.

The numbers kept growing thanks to a number of successful models including the Honda EX5 and the latest Honda RS150R.

After six decades in the Malaysian motoring industry, Boon Siew Honda (BSH) celebrates quite a historical milestone today as the manufacturer and distributor of Honda motorcycles here in the country. The celebration was further enhanced with its five millionth unit produced in their assembly plant located in Penang. (more…)
