The Repsol Honda MotoGP squad headed down to Indonesia to launch the 2018 Honda RC213V latest livery.

The presentation was done at the 2018 Jakarta International Expo.

Both Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa were present for the launch to meet and greet their Indonesian fans.

Days after the official MotoGP pre-season test in Thailand, the Repsol Honda team flew straight to Indonesia to officially unveiled their latest 2018 Honda RC213V livery. Triumph Motorcycles has revealed the official prices for their latest 2018 Triumph Speed Triple series.

The 2018 Speed Triple S comes in at $14,350 (RM56,101) while the RS will set you back around $16,350 (RM63,920).

The small extra sum for the RS will get you Ohlins suspensions, Arrow exhaust, upgraded electronics (IMU, traction control, ABS, etc.) and bilateral quickshifter.

During the recent 2018 Triumph Speed Triple international press launch held in Spain, Triumph Motorcycles revealed the official prices for their latest streetfighter model. Kawasaki Motors Malaysia has issued a notification in relations to the worldwide recall for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR models.

The affected models manufactured from 2016 to 2017 stem from a possible transmission gear failure when presented with high impact force.

The repair consists of replacing the 2nd, 3rd & 4th output gears and the 2nd input gear in the transmission.

It was only five days ago when the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recall of around 4,000 units of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR from 2016 to 2018 in the US. The recall was announced to a faulty transmission system that might cause the gears to break during shifts. (more…)

The Repsol Honda MotoGP team has been testing a brand new carbon fibre swingarm for their 2018 Honda RC213V.

Their entire 2018 package plus new swingarm seems to be working for both Marquez and Pedrosa.

Pedrosa set the fastest ever motorcycle lap around Buriram International Circuit on the final day of the Thai pre-season testing.

Sharp eyes in the MotoGP garage have spotted something quite different on the Honda RC213V used by the Repsol Honda boys during the three-day testing in Thailand. It seemed that the factory Honda squad are experimenting with a full carbon fibre swingarm at the Buriram International Circuit and even during the Sepang winter test here in Malaysia a few weeks back. Some folks have been asking about Hafizh Syahrin being the first Malaysian MotoGP rider.

After the MotoGP Thai test, it can be safely said that Hafizh is the first Malaysian to ride a modern-day 1,000cc MotoGP bike.

The final confirmation will come from Monster Yamaha Tech3 on whether Hafizh Syahrin will become the first Malaysian MotoGP rider to race in the premier class this season.

It has been quite an amazing week for all Malaysians as Hafizh Syahrin was selected to join the MotoGP pre-season testing at the Buriram International Circuit. Riding the Yamaha M1 for the Monster Yamaha Tech3 squad, Hafizh Syahrin ultimately became the first ever South East Asian rider to ride a proper 1,000cc modern day MotoGP bike. (more…)

Triumph Motorcycles has filed a brand new trademark for the Daytona name and it might just be for the 2019 Triumph Daytona 765.

The applications were made in the US and Europe to ensure that there’s no issue when the new model is launched.

With Triumph supplying the new 765cc engine for the 2019 Moto2 season, the new Daytona would be the perfect bike to promote.

Some news have been travelling in relations to British bike manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles and the possibility of an all-new 2019 Triumph Daytona 765. It seems that they have filed some applications for a new trademark for the name ‘Triumph Daytona’ in the United States and Europe. (more…)

The 2019 Suzuki Hayabusa is rumoured to be equipped with a new semi-automatic transmission system.

New patents were recently filed by the Japanese manufacturer in Japan, USA and Germany.

The new system uses actuators to control the clutch and gear shifts whilst combining it with the traditional foot-controlled shifter.

The latest rumour surrounding the all-new 2019 Suzuki Hayabusa has made the pocket rocket even more enticing. Based on the latest report made by Motorcycle.com, Suzuki has filed patents for a semi-automatic transmission system which may be used to handle all that power on the new ‘Bird of Prey’. (more…)

Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech3) was not too far off on board his developed Yamaha M1.

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) settled for third after having completed over 300 laps around the Buriram International Circuit.

After the concluding their first ever maiden MotoGP pre-season testing in Thailand, the entire MotoGP field are now well aware of the what the Buriram International Circuit has to offer. The rider that gained the most advantage was none other than Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda. (more…)

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) celebrated his 25th birthday with style yesterday after setting the fastest ever lap time in Buriram.

Dani Pedrosa was not too far behind sitting at P2 with a 1:30.127.

Jack Miller (Alma Pramac Racing) continues to impress everyone by setting the third fastest lap of the day with his Ducati.

The second day of the MotoGP 2018 pre-season test in Buriram saw a mixture of results but the boys from Repsol Honda sealed the deal by setting the fastest times of the day. Marc Marquez celebrated his 25th birthday in style by being the first rider ever to lap the Buriram International Circuit below 1 minute 30 seconds at 1:29.969. (more…)

The first ever outing on the Yamaha M1 for Hafizh Syahrin proved to be quite a progress in the first day of the MotoGP Buriram Test 2018.

Despite finishing last, the Monster Yamaha Tech3 rider was only 0.4 seconds behind another rookie, Tom Luthi (Marc VDS).

Hafizh Syahrin is the first Malaysian ever to ride a modern day MotoGP bike.

The last minute replacement for the Monster Yamaha Tech3 team that is our very own Hafizh Syahrin seems quite happy with his performance in the first day of the Thailand pre-season testing. A Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R recall just started in the US where the NHTSA has identified a major issue related to the transmission gears.

Almost 4,000 units of ZX-10R and ZX-10RR built from 2016 to 2018 have been discovered with this issue.

A high impact force may cause the transmission gears to break during shifting especially the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears.

The Honda Asia-Dream Racing Team was officially launched earlier today with their star rider, Zaqhwan Zaidi.

The newly-formed team will start competing in the 2018 All-Japan Road Race Championship and Suzuka 8-hour endurance race.

Their focus will then shift towards the new Superbike class in the Asia Road Racing Championship beginning 2019.

To further strengthen their ever-growing presence and dominance in the world of motorcycle racing, Honda Group of Companies in Asia & Oceania has officially introduced the Honda Asia-Dream Racing team earlier today.
