TTS Performance Supercharged Triumph Rocket 3 Breaks Cover – 340hp, 366Nm

The Triumph Rocket 3 is already a beast, not because it packs a 2,458cc three-cylinder engine, but because the behemoth cruiser also churns out 164.7hp and 220Nm.

If that wasn’t enough, the good lad at Hinckley rolled out the TFC trim that produces 179hp and 224Nm.

However, Britain’s TTS Performance might disagree with you if you think that’s already a considerable power for the beastly cruiser. That’s because the power-hungry firm decided to inject the Rocket 3 TFC with a Rotrex C30-94 Supercharger.

Dubbed as the Rocket 300, the supercharged version now pumps out a whopping 340hp and 366Nm.

As usual, the crazy idea came from TTS frontman Richard Albans after he previously made headlines with a supercharged Suzuki Hayabusa that produces 372hp.

Fortunately, TTS has detuned the Rocket 300 to 300hp for the street, allowing for better control for anyone who might not share the same level of craziness as Albans.

Nevertheless, TTS has already sold ten supercharger kits for the Rocket 3, with five more currently developing.

That said, the supercharger kit retails for GBP 8,000 (RM43.2k). If you think your current Rocket 3 needs to be more powerful, go ahead and give the supercharger kit a go.

Because why not?

Bimota Supercharged Tera Tourer Inbound

Bimota’s new motorcycle introduction at EICMA 2022 comes in the form of the 2023 BX450, with the dirt bike borrows much of its design and specification from Kawasaki’s KX450.

Bimota’s upcoming tourer is powered by a supercharged four-cylinder motor from the Kawasaki H2 SX.
The Tera will feature a unique semi-active suspension developed with Marzocchi.

Alongside the BX450, the Italian maker also provides enlightenment on the upcoming supercharged tourer currently under development in Rimini.

While the bike is yet to be ready, Bimota already has an official name for the model, which will be called the Tera.

The Tera made its first appearance in the form of a design sketch at last year’s EICMA before later it was confirmed that the new supercharged tourer would be based on Kawasaki’s Ninja H2 SX.

According to Bimota COO, Pierluigi Marconi, motorcycle fans around the world should expect something exciting from the Tera.

“Never before have Bimota been present in this market segment. No one has this much fun and function in one package.

“The Tera is an attention grabber that will act like a halo for Bimota by attracting further consumer attention to our impressive vehicle lineup,” said Marconi.

We have yet to get the details but based on reports from reputable media, the Tera will feature an all-new steering system, including a new semi-active suspension developed in partnership with Italian specialist Marzocchi.

TTS Performance X Kardesign Unveils The SuperBusa – 372hp, 250Nm

The Suzuki Hayabusa needs no introduction. The hyperbike from Hamamatsu factory in Japan holds the title as “The World’s Fastest Production Motorcycle” when it was introduced in 1990.

Fast forward to 2022, the Hayabusa is now in its 3rd generation, introduced by Suzuki in 2021, the new Busa makes less power and torque than its predecessor but makes up in rideability and refinements.

Modern riding aids also makes the new Hayabusa is easier to ride not just a high speeds but also at lower rev range.

However, for those who wants the 3rd-gen Hayabusa to shake the world as it did back in the 90s, TTS Performance might have something in store just for you.

The UK-based motorcycle performance company has teamed up with Kardesign to unleashed a “supercharged” version of the Hayabusa.

Dubbed the SuperBusa, the motorycle recently showcased to the public at the TTS 40th Anniversary Bash.

Fiitted with Rotrex C30—94 superchargers, the SuperBusa makes a whopping 372hp and 250Nm.

In addition, the SuperBusa also features Rotobox carbon fibre rims, single-sided swingarm, larger brake disc and upgraded suspension.

According to reports, TTS Performance plans to build 40 units of the SuperBusa, with each one will be made to order and individually numbered.

Harley-Davidson Plans To Introduce A Supercharged V-Twin

Harley-Davidson potentially planning to introduce an all-new supercharged engine based on the latest patent.

The Milwaukee based company is looking to integrate a supercharger into its Big Twin lineup.

However, the patent does not specify whether the supercharger unit will be fitted in the current engine or future powerplants.

Nevertheless, the patent shows how Harley plans to apply the technology.

According to the documents, the crankshaft will power the supercharger via a covered belt drive.

Air will then enter the intake system, and the pulley-driven supercharger compresses the air before delivering it to the combustion chamber.

Currently, the Kawasaki H2 is the only supercharged motorcycle available in the market.

The H2 is an embodiment of power and speed, which then raises the question on Harley’s supercharger project, are they also trying the grasp the same idealogy?

There’s a new teaser video for a supercharged Kawasaki Z model.

This time, we get a small glimpse of how the new model will look like. The footage shows a sharp front with Kawasaki’s “River Mark,” supercharger, air intake, and so forth.

There is also a new TFT screen. We could see that the new bike will include cruise control, besides the required traction control and ABS.

We could only guess how the entire bike will look like at the moment but it won’t be long until the official unveiling on 23rd October. That date happens to be the beginning of the Tokyo Motor Show.

Kawasaki uses the “Z” designation for naked bikes in their line-up. Hence the new supercharged “Z” model is the naked version of the Ninja H2. As the 2019 Ninja H2 produces 231HP, we could only wait with bated breath to find out how much power will this bike make. This is the chance for manufacturer to claim the supernaked title. That honour is currently held by the 2019 KTM 1290 Super Duke R, whose engine produces 177 HP and 141 Nm of torque.

Ducati will also unveil their new Streetfighter V4 on the same date in their Ducati 2020 World Premiere. Based on the Panigale V4 which punches out 214 HP, Ducati is also on the path to introduce a contender for the most powerful supernaked.

Honda to introduce supercharged motorcycles?

A series of leaked patent images seem to suggest that Honda is set to follow Kawasaki into the realm of supercharged motorcycle engines.

It seems as if some top motorcycle manufacturers are reaching the ceiling of what is technologically possible with modern day motorcycle engines.

Not too long ago, Kawasaki reintroduced the supercharger with the H2 and H2R. However, the step towards forced induction wasn’t entirely new. Back in the early 80s, the Japanese motorcycle big four all had a supercharged model for offer – Honda had the CX500 and 650 Turbo, Yamaha had the XJ 650 Turbo while Suzuki had the XN 85 Turbo and Kawasaki had the Z750 Turbo.

Anyway, the point is – supercharging isn’t entirely new for motorcycles. In fact it has been around since the 1930s, it seemingly took a break from the mainstream and now it is making a come back. Again.

New to the modern supercharging bandwagon is Honda Motorcycles, though yet unconfirmed but a leaked patent image seems to suggest that Honda will soon follow Kawasaki down the forced induction road.

The leaked image (shown above and below) doesn’t show much expect that the engine looks like a single-cylinder unit with the supercharged mounted on the left.

The patent image also doesn’t do much to suggest which Honda motorcycle will get the supercharging treatment, but word on the internet suggests that the NC750 (pictured above) could have been designed to eventually receive a supercharger.

Kawasaki has always maintained that it’s H2 and H2R won’t be the only machines to get a supercharger. So could we be at the brink of another big-four forced induction era? We certainly hope so.
