  • Penunggang bagi pasukan pengilang WorldSBK Yamaha, Michael van der Mark telah dipilih untuk menggantikan Valentino Rossi yang telah tercedera bagi pusingan MotoGP yang berikutnya di Aragon pada 24 September 2017.
  • Penunggang berusia 24 tahun yang berasal dari Belanda itu bakal membuat kemunculan MotoGP yang pertama kalinya di atas jentera Yamaha YZF-M1 dengan sokongan daripada pasukan Rossi.
  • Rossi dijangkakan akan kembali semula pada pusingan MotoGP di Motegi, Jepun.

Current WorldSBK factory Yamaha rider Michael van der Mark has been selected to replace the injured Valentino Rossi in the next MotoGP round in Aragon on 24 September 2017.

The 24 year old Dutch will be making his MotoGP debut on the Yamaha YZF-M1 for the very first time with the support of Rossi’s current team.

Rossi is expected to make his return at the beginning of the three flyaway races starting in Motegi, Japan.

  • Sesetengah pihak telah mengatakan bahawa format grid terbalik yang terkini dalam WorldSBK tidak membuahkan hasil seperti apa yang telah diharapkan.
  • Rancangannya adalah untuk meletakkan para penamat di atas podium bagi Perlumbaan 1 dalam kedudukan terbalik dari baris yang ketiga dengan harapan yang ianya akan memberikan peluang kepada pasukan dan penunggang namun ianya tidak berjaya.
  • Hampir 94% daripada kedudukan podium setakat ini telah diisi oleh Jonathan Rea dan Tom Sykes dari Kawasaki Racing Team dan juga Chaz Davies dan Marco Melandri dari Aruba.it Racing – Ducati.

Some folks have been arguing that the latest WorldSBK reverse grid format has not been working out as well as they had hoped it would be.

The plan was to get the podium finishers of Race 1 to start in reverse order from the third row in hopes that they would other riders and teams a fighting chance was doomed from the beginning.

Almost 94% of the podium finishes so far has been filled by Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes from Kawasaki Racing Team together with Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri from Aruba.it Racing – Ducati.

According to a recent report made by MCN, the big guns over at WorldSBK are seriously contemplating on whether to scrap the reverse grid system which was introduced into the race series earlier this year. It seems that the format is not working out as well as they had hoped for. (more…)

 

  • Semasa perlumbaan pertama untuk Pusingan Pireli Riviera Di Rimini WorldSBK di Misano, perlumbaan penuh aksi itu ditamatkan dengan Tom Sykes, Alex Lowes, dan Jonathan Rea melintasi garisan penamat di tempat teratas.
  • Ketika pusingan terakhir, Chaz Davies, Jonathan Rea, dan Marco Melandri yang mendahului perlumbaan pada ketika itu sebelum Melandri terbabas pada pertengahan pusingan itu.
  • Davies mengalami nasib yang sama dengan Melandri dan REa yang mengekorinya dengan rapat tidak dapat mengelaknya dan menggilis penunggang British berusia 30 tahun itu dengan jentera Kawasaki ZX-10RRnya.

  • Perlumbaan pertama untuk Pusingan Pirelli Riviera Di Rimini WorldSBK yang diadakan di Litar Dunia Misano “Marco Simoncelli” menyaksikan Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) melintasi garisan penamat di tempat pertama pada pusingan terakhir yang dipenuhi drama.
  • Ketiga-tiga pendahulu perlumbaan yang terdiri daripada Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team), dan Marco Melandri terbabas pada pusingan terakhir perlumbaan berkenaan.
  • Alex Lowes (PATA Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) merangkul tempat kedua diikuti oleh Rea yang berjaya meraih kedudukan podium terakhir selepas pertembungan dengan Davies.

During the first race of the WorldSBK Pirelli Riviera Di Rimini Round in Misano, the intense race concluded with Tom Sykes, Alex Lowes and Jonathan Rea crossing the finish line.

During the final lap, Chaz Davies, Jonathan Rea and Marco Melandri who were leading the race before Melandri crashed out halfway through the lap.

Davies suffered the same front tyre wash out but Rea wasn’t able to avoid him and ran over the 30 year old Brit with his Kawasaki ZX-10RR.

During the WorldSBK Pirelli Riviera Di Rimini Round which ran its course at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”, it was a weekend filled with drama and action for the race series that’s probably one the climatic points in the Superbike World Championship races. (more…)

The first race of the WorldSBK Pirelli Riviera Di Rimini Round held at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” saw Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) crossing the line in first place in the final lap drama.

All three front runners who are Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) and Marco Melandri crashed out in the final lap of the race.

Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) secured second followed by Rea who managed to salvage the final podium spot after the huge collision with Davies.

It was an epic win for Kawasaki Racing Team rider Tom Sykes who miraculously crossed the finished line in first place during the first race of the Pirelli Riviera Di Rimini Round held at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”. It was an amazing win considering that he was in fourth at the beginning of the final lap with a significant gap between Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team), Chaz Davies and his Aruba.it Racing Ducati team mate, Marco Melandri.   • Pusingan keenam dalam siri perlumbaan WorldSBK musim ini berlangsung di Donington Park hujung minggu lalu menyaksikan Tom Sykes dan Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) mendominasi kedua-dua perlumbaan, menyumbang kepada kemenangan yang ke-100 dalam kejohanan ini bagi pasukan itu.
  • Tom Sykes memenangi Perlumbaan 1 diikuti oleh Leon Haslam (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) di tempat kedua dan Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Racing) di tempat ketiga.
  • Jonathan Rea bertarung dengan hebat sekali di Perlumbaan 2 dan memenanginya diikuti oleh Tom Sykes dan Chaz Davies.

The sixth round of the WorldSBK race held in Donington Park last weekend saw Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) dominated both races contributing to the team’s 100th win in the championship.

Tom Sykes won Race 1 with Leon Haslam (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) in second followed by Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Racing) in third.

Jonathan Rea made an amazing comeback in Race 2 with the win followed by Tom Sykes and Chaz Davies.

It was a clear and landslide victory for both the Kawasaki Racing Team riders this past race weekend during the UK Round of the WorldSBK race held at the legendary Donington Park. After an interesting outcome from Race 1 which saw two of the top podium contenders crashing out, it was Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) aka “The King of Donington” who took the whole shot for Race 1. It was a great day filled with drama and events especially for WorldSBK rider Jonathan Rea in Round Two of the 2017 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship. After finishing on top in Race 1 yesterday, the Kawasaki Racing Team rider continued his assault with another victory in Race 2 making a total of four straight victories for the 30 year old Brit rider. With a win in Race 1, Rea looked to have a challenge laid out for him with the new race format. The new ruling meant that Rea had to start the second race from the back of the third row in P9 but that did not stop him from being victorious. The top spot was fought viciously between four riders; Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team), Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri (Aruba.it Racing) together with Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team). The win also marked Rea’s 40th career victory in WorldSBK. (more…)
