The 2017 Kawasaki Z650 ABS is the replacement of the previous and very popular ER6N naked bike.

While the ER6N is considered to be a very capable and perfect bike for beginner riders wanting to try bigger capacity bikes, Kawasaki had to something big for its replacement.

We got our hands on both bikes and in this special feature, we’re going to put both bikes to test to see once and for all if the Z650 ABS is truly worthy substitute to the almost iconic ER6N.

As most of you have already know, Kawasaki Motors Malaysia released their first wave of new and exciting motorcycles in the Malaysian market earlier this year with the Kawasaki Ninja 650 ABS, Z650 ABS, Z900 ABS and the Versys-X 250. Kawasaki Motors Malaysia (KMSB) has started their first CSR program of the year with a very special charity program yesterday dubbed the “Gotong-Royong & Agihan Bubur Lambuk Kawasaki”.

The Kawasaki management group together with 60 bikers from Kawasaki Owners Group (KOG) and over 100 participants helped out in distributing the over 3,000 bubur lambuk all around Klang Valley.

The delicious Ramadhan porridge packets were given out to a number of orphanages, fire and police stations and patrons of a nearby Bazaar Ramadhan in Shah Alam.

During this holy fasting month of Ramadhan, Kawasaki Motors Malaysia Sdn Bhd (KMSB) has decided to help the less fortunate with their special outreach program as part of their plans to get closer with the public. The management group together with the help from 60 bikers from the Kawasaki Owners Group (KOG) and over 100 other participants, they carried out a very special program dubbed the “Gotong-Royong & Agihan Bubur Lambuk Kawasaki”. The opening RST Superbike race of Isle of Man TT 2017 saw Ian Hutchinson from Tyco BMW taking the first win of the opening race.

The win marks Hutchinson’s 15th TT win which makes him the third most successful rider of the island circuit.

Second place goes to Peter Hickman (Hickman’s Smiths Racing) who managed to snatch his first ever podium finish ahead of early race leader, Dean Harrison (Silicone Racing).

The great Ian Hutchinson from the Tyco BMW squad took the first Isle of Man TT of 2017 with a stunning victory in the RST Superbike race yesterday. Yesterday’s victory marks Hutchinson’s 15th TT win in his racing career. (more…)

The master builders over at the Wrenchmonkees based in Copenhagen built this custom Kawasaki H2 inspired by retro endurance racers.

The bike and project was commissioned by Dutch riding gear manufacturer, REV’IT!

REV’IT!’s urban riding gear range that offers both style and high-tech technology was envisioned on the custom H2 built with superior taste and styling.

The Wrenchmonkees together with REV’IT! has come up with this custom Kawasaki H2 with a lot of inspirations dated back to the 80s and 90s era where motorcycles were iconic and timeless in their own right. What usually involves an old bike being turned into something modern went the other way around with the world’s fastest supercharged motorcycle known to man taken for a proper journey back in time. The sixth round of the WorldSBK race held in Donington Park last weekend saw Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) dominated both races contributing to the team’s 100th win in the championship.

Tom Sykes won Race 1 with Leon Haslam (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) in second followed by Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Racing) in third.

Jonathan Rea made an amazing comeback in Race 2 with the win followed by Tom Sykes and Chaz Davies.

It was a clear and landslide victory for both the Kawasaki Racing Team riders this past race weekend during the UK Round of the WorldSBK race held at the legendary Donington Park. After an interesting outcome from Race 1 which saw two of the top podium contenders crashing out, it was Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) aka “The King of Donington” who took the whole shot for Race 1. The first ever Kawasaki Ninja Shop in Northern Malaysia was launched earlier today by Bikers Gallery Sdn Bhd.

Located in Alor Setar, Kedah, the Kawasaki Ninja Shop is also one of the largest in Malaysia covering over 33,000 square feet of space for the bike display area and Kawasaki Exclusive Service Center (KESC).

The Kawasaki Ninja Shop is a concept store dedicated to the Kawasaki brand which covers motorcycles, riding gears, merchandise and many more to suit all types of riders in the country.

Kawasaki Motors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (KMSB) has started their Kawasaki test ride road show called the “Always Closer to You” Roadshow.

Thousand of Kawasaki fans and enthusiasts attended their first road show of 2017 at the Bulatan Bazarena, Stadium Melawati located in Shah Alam, Selangor today.

Attendees got the opportunity to test out some of Kawasaki motorcycles including all of their 2017 models; Z900 ABS, Z650 ABS, Ninja 650 ABS and the Versys-X 250.

Thousands of Kawasaki fans and enthusiasts near and far came down to the Bulatan Bazarena, Stadium Melawati located in Shah Alam today. As part of an initiative to get closer to the people, Kawasaki Motors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (KMSB) has organized this very special road show dubbed the Kawasaki “Always Closer to You” Roadshow. (more…)

Calling all Kawasaki owners and fans! Kawasaki Motors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (KMSB) will be organising a test ride roadshow as well as a service campaign for all Kawasaki enthusiasts and current owners. The special event will take place this Sunday (14 May 2017) at Bulatan Bazarena, Stadium Melawati Shah Alam from 10am to 6pm.

2017 Kawasaki Z900

The event is called Kawasaki “Always Close to You” Roadshow, and KMSB will also be showcasing their latest 2017 models, including the new Kawasaki Z650 ABS, Ninja 650 ABS, Z900 ABS and Versys-X 250. Fans, current owners and potential owners will all be given an opportunity to test ride these models to get a first-hand experience.

KMSB will be setting up a specially arranged course designed to allow riders to feel the agility, maneuverability, versatility and light-weight handling of all the new Kawasakis.

As for current owners of Kawasaki motorcycles, all Kawasaki riders will get a chance to get their motorcycle serviced during the event with no labour charge. The service will be carried out by highly trained Kawasaki Exclusive Service Centre (KESC) Glenmarie personnel.

KMSB has also planned other activities with its partners; Nestle Malaysia will be offering free Nescafe drinks for coffee lovers while other participating partners from Alpinestar Malaysia, Shoei Malaysia and Bridgestone Malaysia will display and offer their own range of products. AEON Credit Services and Tokio Marine Insurance will also be on hand to advise and offer their products to potential customers.

The roadshow activity is a part of KMSB program to reach out to their customers and the public. Kawasaki enthusiasts can stay tune for more updates from KMSB as they have planned for more roadshows. India’s Royal Enfield was rumoured to have been approached as one of the companies to possibly take over Ducati.

Ever since the major Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal in 2015, the company has hired Evercore to search for potential buyers of the big red giant motorcycle manufacturer.

The selling price could go upwards of €1.5 billion (around RM 7.1 billion).

One of the biggest brands in the history of motorcycling has sparked the interest of one Indian company, Royal Enfield. Ever since news broke out that the Volkswagen Group is planning to let go of the giant Italian bike brand, it is rumoured that Royal Enfield was one of the entities approached for the next company in line to take over the giant red Italian brand. Well, Rickey is actually an 11-time AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) drag racing champion and he has a heavily modified Kawasaki H2 known as the ‘baddest H2 in the country’.
