Honda WR-V: Ini 5 Benda Perlu Tahu Tentang Pencabar Ativa Turbo

Honda Malaysia bakal melancarkan model terbaru, Honda WR-V untuk pasaran tempatan tidak lama lagi. Secara tak langsung, WR-V (Winsome Runabout Vehicle) bakal menjadi pesaing terbaru dalam segmen SUV kompak sekaligus akan berdepan Perodua Ativa.

Bos kami telah pun berpeluang menguji WR-V di Thailand baru-baru ini jadi ini lima benda yang perlu tahu tentang Honda WR-V.

1. Enjin

WR-V dikuasakan enjin 1.5L (NA) yang menawarkan 121PS dan 145Nm. Walaupun angka tersebut tidaklah terlalu mengagumkan tetapi mengambil kira faktor saiz yang kecil, kuasa dihasilkan cukup sesuai untuk bergerak ke sana sini. Berbanding Ativa, WR-V mempunyai ekstra 23PS dan 5Nm.

Untuk rekod, ini adalah enjin sama yang terdapat pada Honda City jadi jangkakan sebuah enjin yang jimat minyak dan tahan lasak. Penggunaan bahan api diletakkan pada 14.6km bagi setiap liter dan bagi tangki sebear 35L, WR-V boleh berjalan sejauh 510km.

2. Rekaan

Sekali imbas, rekaan depan WR-V tampak seperti CR-V namun ia adalah gabungan antara HR-V dan CR-V. Sebagai contoh, kedudukan pemegang pintu belakang sama seperti HR-V.

Dalam pada itu, varian RS dijangka tampil sama dengan model yang dipandu di Thailand iaitu hadir dengan gril depan berwarna krom dan rim dua-tona 17-inci. Selain itu, turut ditawarkan lampu LED automatk dengan lampu isyarat ’sequential’, dan ;ampu DRL (lampu nyalaan siang).

3. Dimensi

Ukuran penuh Honda WR-V adalah seperti berikut; 4,060mm panjang, 1,780mm lebar dan 1,608mm tinggi. Menariknya, walaupun lebih lebar dari Perodua Ativa tetapi jika dilihat depan mata, WR-V ini tampak kecil. Ativa adalah 5mm lebih panjang serta 27mm lebih tinggi. Meskipun begitu, WR-V adalah 70mm lebih lebar jadi menghasilkan ilusi lebih ‘besar’ daripada Ativa.

Ruang depan pula cukup luas untuk kaki penumpang dan pemandu sementara tempat duduk belakang juga mempunyai ruang yang memadai. Namun mereka yang berketinggian 6-kaki mungkin mengharapkan ruang ekstra. Namun sebagai sebuah SUV kompak, kami tidak boleh mengharapkan sesuatu yang lebih dari itu.

Sementara itu, ruang storan belakang pula adalah 380L dan tempat duduk pula boleh dibahagi 60:40.

4. Rekaan dalaman dan ciri

Bahagian papan pemuka (dashboard) mengguna pakai bahan jenis ‘faux’ leather sementara pintu pula adalah jenis plastik keras. Seperti kebiasaan varian RS menawarkan sulaman berwarna merah yang menimbulkan lagi elemen ‘premium’.

Sementara itu, turut ditawarkan sistem infotainmen dengan fungsi Apple CarPlay dan Android Auto. Selain itu juga terdapat dua port pengecas USB di bahagian depan tetapi sayangnya tempat duduk belakang hanya menawarkan soket 12V. Pemandu pula disajikan dengan panel meter analog dengan skirn kecil 4.2-inci yang menawarkan maklumat standard.

Varian RS juga dilengkapi dengan enam pembesar suara disekitar kabin manakala varian standard hanya dilengkapi empat pembesar suara. Namun ciri ini mungkin berbeza bagi pasaran Malaysia.

5. Ciri keselamatan

Honda semenangnya tidak pernah berkompromi soal keselamatan maka tidak hairanlah WR-V juga dilengkapi ciri keselamatan terbaik termasuk Honda Sensing yang merangkumi:

2023 Honda CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade 30th Anniversary Now In Malaysia – RM208,800

The 2023 Honda CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade now lands in Malaysia in the form of the unique 30th Anniversary edition. Priced at RM208,800 the updated model gets engine updates and more for the new year.

Although major parts of the CBR1000RR-R SP remains the same, the flagship superbike from Honda has been refined for better mid-range acceleration, something that could also help HRC at the WorldSBK.

While peak power remains at 214hp @ 14,500rpm, Honda has revamped the intake ports, airbox and mid-section exhaust. Interestingly, Honda also increased the final drive sprocket to 43 from the previous 40.

Moving on to electronics, Honda has improved the traction control with a new algorithm for better rear-wheel traction followed by revised Nissin callipers while the front is equipped with Brembo callipers.

Honda CBR150R Updated With New Visuals – RM13,299

Boon Siew Honda (BSH) has introduced a new colour update for the 2023 Honda CBR150R priced at RM13,299.

The Honda CBR150R now comes in a bolder Pearl Nightfall Blue which suspiciously looks like the iconic ‘Spoon’ colour combination. However, while the ‘Spoon’ colourway combines a balance between blue and yellow, the blue on the 2023 CBR150R is more prominent.

Aside from the new visuals, the Honda CBR150R continue to feature the same specifications, including the same 150cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine capable of producing 16hp @ 9,000rpm and 13.7Nm @ 7,000rpm. Power is delivered to the rear wheel via a 6-speed transmission with a final chain drive.

Mechanically, the 2023 CBR150R still features the same equipment and electronics, including the wavy disc brake, fully digital speedometer and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

Acerbis Attempts New World Record With The Honda Monkey 125

Acerbis, the renowned aftermarket parts, accessory, and clothing manufacturer, is gearing up for an extraordinary world record attempt with the pint-sized Honda Monkey 125.

Acerbis team has slapped the Monkey 125 with a 108L fuel tank.

While the Honda Monkey 125 boasts commendable fuel efficiency owing to its small engine and low-stress design, its standard 5.6-liter fuel tank grants it a range of approximately 257km. Acerbis recognized the need for modifications to cover the daunting 4,345km journey and set about creating a colossal custom-built fuel tank. This remarkable prototype tank has an astounding capacity of 108 liters, allowing the bike to attempt the official record for the “greatest distance driven on a single tank of fuel by a motorcycle (prototype).”

The Acerbis team, accompanied by their riders Andrea Rastrelli, Alicia Sornosa, and Maurizio Vettor, will embark on this epic adventure through several countries, including Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and finally, Norway. Surpassing the current record would mean traveling over 2,700 miles.

However, the team has no intentions of stopping there. If there’s fuel remaining in the tank and energy left in the riders’ bodies and minds, they plan to push on until the last drop of fuel is consumed, determined to explore the true limits of this little bike’s endurance.

With their audacious feat, Acerbis and its intrepid riders aim to leave an indelible mark in the annals of motorcycling history, showcasing the remarkable capabilities of the Honda Monkey 125 and pushing the boundaries of what is possible on two wheels.

MotoGP: Marc Marquez Tak Tolak Kemungkinan Berhijrah Ke Ducati

Marc Marquez menegaskan sasaran utamanya adalah untuk kekal bersama Honda namun tidak menolak kemungkinan untuk berhijrah ke pasukan lain seperti Ducati.

Marquez telah bersama Honda sepanjang kariernya dan walaupun Ducati sendiri telah menafikan khabar angin yang kaitkan pasukan Itali itu dengan Marquez, desas-desas tersebut masih lagi bertebaran.

Antara yang buka mulut mengenai khabar angin itu adalah lima kali juara dunia, Jorge Lorenzo yang menjangkakan Marquez akan ke Ducati sama ada sertai pasukan ‘factory’ ataupun satelit.

Bagaimanapun, Marquez tekad mahu kekal bersama Honda meskipun kontraknya tamat pada 2024.

“Jorge (Lorenzo) seorang pelumba yang hebat tetapi kita lihiat jika dia juga hebat dalam membuat tekaan.

“Apa pun, saya masih mempunyai baki kontrak bersama Honda dan saya kekal komited kepada mereka.

“Mereka (Honda) akan tetap menjadi pelan A saya tetapi pada masa sama saya akan terus mencari projek yang boleh menyumbang kejuaraan. Saya tak kisah tetang warna, nama atau pasukan nama,” jelas enam kali juara dunia MotoGP itu.

FIRST LOOK: 2024 Honda Shadow Phantom

The Honda Shadow series has been a mainstay in the cruiser market, but in recent years, it has taken a backseat to Honda’s Rebel models. However, Honda is bringing the Shadow back into the spotlight with the introduction of the 2024 Honda Shadow Phantom.

The Shadow Phantom has received some much-needed updates for 2024. One of the most significant changes is the addition of optional ABS, addressing a previous oversight in safety features. Both the Shadow Phantom and the Shadow Aero models will now feature a rear disc brake, replacing the outdated rear drum brake.

In terms of aesthetics, the Shadow Phantom has undergone a styling makeover. It boasts flashier paint options, gaitered forks, a new headlight cover, and new LED front and rear turn signals.

The front and rear fenders have been redesigned, with the rear fender notably shorter. However, this modification comes at the cost of a passenger seat, although accessories such as a pillion seat and footrests are available. The new single seat is said to be more comfortable, with a slightly lower height of 650mm compared to the previous two-up seat.

The 2024 Shadow Phantom sheds some weight, with a six-pound reduction attributed to the loss of the seat and the trimmed fender. The non-ABS version now weighs in at 246kg pounds, while the ABS version offsets this weight loss, resulting in a curb weight of 250kg.

Further enhancements include a new handlebar and handlebar clamp, positioning the grips higher and further forward than the previous model. The 14-litres fuel capacity remains unchanged, but the tank-mounted instrumentation has received updates.

Under the hood, the 2024 Honda Shadow Phantom retains its powerful 745cc liquid-cooled V-Twin engine, mated to a five-speed transmission and a shaft drive. The engine now features new machined cylinder-head fins, adding visual appeal and creating the illusion of an air-cooled engine against the matte black engine and exhausts.

The 2024 Honda Shadow Phantom is set to hit global dealerships this month, offering two color options: Deep Pearl Gray Metallic or Orange Metallic.
