Ducati Monster

Ducati has announced a limited edition 2023 Monster 30th Anniversario, marking an exceptional milestone for the renowned Bologna brand, paying tribute to the original Monster that changed the course of Ducati’s history back in 1993.

  • the limited run Monster is to pay homage to the model iconic introduction back in 1993.
  • the 30th Anniversario is fitted with Ohlins suspension and Termignoni full-system exhaust.

With the first Monster’s groundbreaking debut, Ducati showcased its ingenuity by fitting a slightly aged L-twin t-valve engine into a fresh frame, accompanied by flat bars, creating a one-of-a-kind machine.

The gamble paid off, captivating the hearts of enthusiasts and winning accolades from the press. Now, three decades later, the 30th Anniversario emerges as a collectors’ dream, preserving the bike’s iconic DNA and exhilarating character while offering enthusiasts a limited opportunity to own a piece of motorcycling history.

In the design department, the Monster 30th Anniversario flaunts a captivating tricolour paint scheme, tastefully complemented by forged gold wheels and Ohlins forks.

The bike’s exclusivity is further enhanced with a Termignoni exhaust, previously found only on the Monster SP, and carbon mudguards, adding a touch of elegance and performance.

The attention to detail extends to the unique embroidered seat, setting this masterpiece apart from other models in the range.

Ducati has meticulously crafted this limited edition to resonate with the passionate community of Ducatisti, offering a bike that not only performs but also pays homage to the brand’s rich heritage.

Another compelling aspect of the 2023 Monster 30th Anniversario is its remarkable weight reduction. Ducati engineers have managed to shave off an impressive 4 kilograms from its overall weight, bringing the dry weight down to an astonishing 164 kilograms. This feat is a testament to Ducati’s commitment to pushing boundaries and setting new standards in performance.

That said, the new Anniversario boasts the same engine specifications as its fellow Monster siblings, delivering a formidable 111hp and 93Nm of torque. The powerful engine pairs seamlessly with the chassis inspired by the Monster SP, featuring Ohlins NIX forks, an Ohlins rear shock, and a steering damper, ensuring a dynamic and exhilarating ride.

With production limited to a mere 500 units, the 2023 Ducati Monster 30th Anniversario is destined to become a collector’s gem and a cherished piece of Ducati’s illustrious history.

Finally, you can get your hands on the all-new 2021 Ducati Monster almost a year since its global reveal back in December 2020.

Going back to its roots when the first Monster was launched back in 1993, the 2021 Ducati Monster is now sportier than ever thanks to its superbike-derived frame. Its engine is now an integral stress member of the chassis which is directly connected to its front frame and rear tail, just like the Panigale V4.

Compared to the previous 821, the new Monster is a whopping 18kg lighter thanks to this new setup (166kg dry, the same weight as a fully fuelled Yamaha YZF-R25).

A part of that new weight loss regime consists of a new 937cc engine which is bigger and more powerful than the 821, but 2.4kg lighter.

The 937cc twin-cylinder Desmodromic Testastretta 11° engine is tuned to produce 111hp at 9,250rpm and 93Nm torque at 6,500rpm.

That’s an extra 3hp and 7Nm more on a bike that’s considerably lighter. This also means that the new 2021 Monster has a much better power-to-weight ratio.

In terms of design, the new Monster is now more compact and narrower on the sides that make it easier to ride and place your foot on the ground for easier handling. Other specs include:

  • 43mm USD front fork
  • Preload adjustable monoshock + double-sided swingarm
  • 17-inch alloy wheels + Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres
  • Front twin 320mm disc brakes + Brembo M4.32 monobloc 4-piston callipers
  • Rear single 245mm disc + Brembo 2-piston floating calliper
  • 4.3-inch TFT display
  • 820mm seat height (optional 800mm seat height available)
  • Cornering ABS, riding modes, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control
Ducati Quick Shift, Ducati Power Launch, dynamic turn indicator + more

There’s also the 2021 Ducati Monster +, which is essentially similar to the base Monster with the addition of a flyscreen and passenger seat cover. Customers can choose between three base colours as well as a number of cover and sticker kits for that ‘custom’ look.

The 2021 Ducati Monster is available for a promotional price of RM69,900.

The all-new Ducati Monster now comes with a wide selection of accessories designed to enhance the technical characteristics and overall look of the bike.

Like the previous Monster, the latest accessories available in the Ducati Performance catalogue allows owners to customize the 2021 sport naked according to their liking.

Two customization sets to choose from, for starters, the Pixel kit and the GP kit, with the latter, offers your Monster with Ducati Corse racing DNA.

Both customization kits are available for all three colours of the Monster and Monster Plus.

You can also upgrade the 2021 Monster with Euro 5 standard Termignoni homologated silencer and Termingnoni racing exhaust (for track use only).

To complete the look, you may also get your hands on a series of accessories from Rizoma consisting of handlebar balancing weights, footpegs, brake fluid and clutch fluid reservoirs.

Meanwhile, Ducati Malaysia is expected to launch the 2021 Ducati Monster at the start of Q4, including the wide range of customization.

The Monster will set to join the new Multistrada V4 (launching soon) and the Streetfighter V4 currently available at Ducati Malaysia alongside the Panigale V4 and Panigale V2.

Thanks to augmented reality (AR) technology, you are now able to take a closer look at the all-new 2021 Ducati Monster via the Monster Experience AR.
