Those who are looking for a modern, compact yet sharp and aggressive package that can basically go anywhere and everywhere should pay attention to these bikes. With BMW Motorrad’s vast experience in manufacturing world-renowned adventure bikes, their latest middleweight offerings combine both “touring and long distance capability with sporty dynamics and supreme off-road performance.”

While the 2018 F 750 GS are focused on riders who are looking for that perfect touring machine that’s compact, ample power plus a low seat height for easy access making it a perfect all-rounder, the F 850 GS is more suited for those who want that extra bit of power with more touring qualities and off-road capabilities.

Power and torque for both these bikes come in the form of a powerful 853cc, two-cylinder in-line engine which has been tuned for different characteristics. The F 750 GS churns out 77hp and 83Nm of torque while the more rugged F 850 GS produces 95hp and 92Nm of maximum torque. The new crankshaft design plus firing sequence for the engine produces a wild sound that touches the souls of any ADV enthusiasts.

A self-amplifying, anti-hopping clutch provides a noticeable reduction in the hand clutch operating force while the drop in engine drag torque also enhances safety on the road. Two different modes are available for both models; Road and Rain which are further enhanced with BMW’s ABS and ASC (Automatic Stability Control) as standards.

Need an extra kick? The F 750 GS and F 850 GS can be fitted with optional equipment, such as Pro riding modes and in turn the additional ‘Dynamic’, ‘Enduro’ and ‘Enduro Pro’ riding modes. This comes with BMW’s Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and ABS Pro.

Housing all the engine parts and electronics is an all-new tough steel bridge frame with monocoque construction which not only protects all the goodies but also allows for greater riding precision. Further enhancing the rideability is a new set of upside-down telescopic fork with double-sided aluminium swingarm which supply dynamic riding characteristics.

Want to enhance your future F 750 GS and F 850 GS even further? BMW Motorrad will also offer a range of optional parts such as the 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display with Connectivity, Intelligent emergency call function, Keyless Ride, Gear shift assistant Pro, Dynamic ESA, eCall, Connectivity and many more.

The new 2018 BMW F 750 GS and F 850 GS will be available in Malaysia sometime next year. As for the price, we’re confident that BMW Motorrad Malaysia will play their cards right in coming up with the best offers for the Malaysian bike segment to flourish even further.
