Suter Withdraws from Isle of Man TT 2017

Suter recently broke news with their announcement of withdrawing from the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy for 2017. This came to a shock for a lot of folks considering that their highly anticipated two-stroke Suter MMX 500 aka “The Beast” made its debut in last year’s race placing 34th in the 2016 PokerStars Senior TT race.

This came to being after their official statement was made via their Facebook page just hours ago. In the short and brief post, Suter basically explained the situation regarding their exit from the world’s most challenging road race of all time without any specific details.

“This year, Suter will not participate in the Isle of Man TT with its spectacular two-stroke Suter MMX 500. Due to major structural changes in the company by additional considerable engineering projects, Suter faces temporary qualified personnel shortage.”

In the Facebook post itself, Eskil Suter, the Chairman of Suter Industries concerning their regret in not being able to participate in this year’s race. Eskil Suter said “Especially as we have improved the MMX 500 after last year’s debut in terms of rideability in a great way, and knowing that the fan base supporting us is huge, it was a hard decision to take.”

On another note, they’re planning to get everything prepared for the return in the 2018 Isle of Man TT race together legendary rider Ian Lougher who have won the Isle of Man TT race ten times. Ian Lougher was also the main rider responsible for the development of the MMX 500 which not only looks amazing but performs beautifully as well.
