Are you ready for Malaysia’s most interesting custom bike competition?

Malaysia’s most interesting custom bike competition called Bakat Besi is back and ready to unveil their end-products.
Talented bike customizers and constructors from across the country have been working on their custom bikes for the past few months.
The customized Modenas Pulsar RS200, NS200, and V15 bikes are ready for their grand unveiling.

It was around the end of last year when national motorcycle manufacturer Modenas launched Malaysia’s most interesting motorcycle contest called Bakat Besi. What’s unique about this particular program is the fact that it focuses on motorcycle design and engineering for anyone who’s interested to participate.

It wasn’t long before a huge number of talented folks wanted to be a part of this competition. For the custom bike build-off segment called Reka Bina (check out the team selection video below), 12 bike customizers and constructors were chosen to fully-explore their creative sides with Modenas’ latest models; the Modenas Pulsar RS200, Pulsar NS200, and the V15.

As for the customizers, they are:

FNR Melati Trading
MFJ Motorsports
HungryGhost Custom Inc
Wak Jep

After months of intensive labour, the custom bikes are done and Bakat Besi will again take off with a bunch of teaser videos before the grand reveal. You can watch the four videos at the bottom of this post.

Six teams consisting of one customizer and constructor have worked on one bike and soon, a nine-episode video series will show their entire processes before the voting begins.

As for selecting the winner who will take home the grand prize of RM10,000 and a two-year manufacturing contract, the winners will be chosen based from selections made by a panel of professionals in the industry as well as the general public.
