The Gempak Santai Modenas carnival saw a huge number of participants today.

The event was held at a seaside setting at Dataran Pantai Morib in Banting, Selangor, as a celebration for Modenas motorcycle owners.

Sure enough, participants showed up on some 600 Modenas motorcycles of all models including the current Dominar 400, Pulsar RS200, Pulsar NS200, Elegan 250 scooters, Jaguh cruisers and, KRISS and Dinamik variants. This large number hasn’t taken owners of other motorcycle makes into account.

As the name suggests, the atmosphere of the event was one of “santai” (relaxation). The riders, their friends and partners took to the beach, food and gift stalls while keeping an ear for the lucky draw.

Modenas organized a number of activities. They were the Autoshow, Cub Prix Demonstration, Lucky Draws, Tug-of-War Competition among Modenas motorcycle clubs, Safety Riding Clinic, Service Campaign, Test Ride, Karaoke, new model exhibition, booths selling motorcycle-related stuff, and so forth.

Also important during the event was the Service Campaign. Modenas owners serviced their bikes or had issues rectified on the spot. So popular was the campaign that some of the activities had to be carried outside the tents.

The aforementioned lucky draw went on throughout the day but the grand prize – a customized VT15 – was announced at the end of the day. The lucky winners walked away with hampers and products from the sponsors.

GIVI supported event by driving up in their transformer bus while Red Bull sold drinks at special prices.

Gempak Santai Modenas was sponsored by GIVI, Red Bull, Racing Boy, MotoNation and Samurai 2K.
