Forthcoming new Honda ADV adventure-styled scooter teased in new video.
Honda just released a new teaser video of the forthcoming new Honda ADV scooter earlier this week.
Of course, this being a teaser, there were no clear views of the new adventure-styled scooter. Nevertheless, Honda did highlight that it will reveal more on 30th August.
To refresh your memory, the Honda ADV adventure-styled scooter was previewed first as the Honda City Adventure concept during EICMA 2015. A prototype was then spotted testing in Rome, Italy earlier this year confirming Honda’s plans to turn it into a production model for 2017.
It underpins the Honda NC750X adventure sport and Honda Integra maxi-scooter chassis platform. The upcoming new scooter will reportedly use the same 745cc parallel-twin powerplant whilst featuring the Japanese marque’s signature DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) as well.
The adventure-styled scooter concept seemingly holds a huge appeal. Based on what we saw in the concept, notable features of this forthcoming model include inverted front forks, dual front disc brakes, wire spoke wheels, not forgetting a decently styled swingarm and a rugged exterior styling to match.
Additionally, design patents of the Honda ADV had leaked as well several months back. The drawings showed that the final production version underwent minor changes from the concept as it was being homologated for street use.
Teasing with the promise of more information towards the end of next month, it also perhaps suggest a possible debut as early as the upcoming INTEMROT 2016 show scheduled for October this year in Cologne, Germany.
