CKD version of any bikes is always an open opportunity of any riders in any categories as it will make the price of the bike to be significantly lower. This is one in particular, the 2014 Yamaha MT-09, now available in CKD version and the price has been reduced to RM9,000 as it is priced at RM45,000 compared to the CBU version at RM54,000. That is a lot of amount of money that can be used to buy more accessories or performance parts for the MT-09.

Inline-3 engine is the direction Yamaha is taking for this naked street bike. Inline-3 engine will give a benefit in overall lightness of the engine and also making the dimension of the bike to be narrower. The engine can produce 115PS @ 10,000RPM with 87.5Nm of torque @ 8,500RPM. This combination will make the bike easy to accelerate since the engine is powerful and lightweight.  (more…)

A few weeks ago we published a spyshot of what looks like an adventure class bike going through some testing thanks to a sharp eye BR follower.

From our speculation it was a Zongshen RX3 and finally the question is answered when KTNS (the same people whobrings in the SYM brand) launched the bike at the IMF event.

Rebadged to the KTNS RS3, the bike is powered by a single piston four-stroke engine. It makes 18.5hp and 23Nm of torque. The transmission is a six-speeder with wet-multiplate clutch.

Tyres are 100/90 on 18” wheel up front and the rear is a 130/90 on a 15” wheel with disc brakes front and back while the fuel tank is said to hold 15L of petrol.
The bike is priced at RM12,800.00 but add another RM500 and KTNS will throw in the panniers, rear box and engine guards.

For more information go to their website at www.ktn.com.my or you wait till we get our hands on the machines for testing.

After the reveal of a new adventure concept at the recent EICMA show, Honda is now busy teasing and hyping up the final reveal of the new bike.

While there is no technical detail about the bike dubbed as the “True Adventure”, it is clear that it is an adventure type and might carry the legendary name Africa Twin.

The “True Adventure” campaign is up with two videos so far, the first one showing how the Africa Twin became the legend that it is with the Paris Dakar Race and how Honda and racing is connected.

The second video shows how Honda bikes have inspired people to take them to explore the world and changed their lives.

Ironically enough the second video also shows that you dont actually need an adventure bike to go and make your adventure, a few brave people are doing it on the C90.

Also if you think you have a sharp eye then try to spot a Malaysian reference in that second video and tell us what it was in the comments section.

I dont know about you but the second video makes me itch to just go and ride.

Observe closely the poster of the HLYM 2015 lineup and you can see the YZF-R25 on it. We have written about the YZF-R25 earlier in detail after the launch in Indonesia here.
We all already know that it is going to be available in Malaysia next year in Q1. We also have seen it on display at Shell Advance Malaysian Motorcyle Grandprix.
With this poster, we can say everything is prepared for the launch of it next year.
